Alice,

Please keep us posted as to how things work in the London space you mention.

I think a contributing factor to the problem is that the EC space
currently has more non technical people using the space than actual
technically savvy users. Part of this is done to pure economics. More
people live in London than in Scotland, therefore the demand for a
purely technical space will be much higher, and other groups will have
social centres etc to meet in. Not that any of this specifically
relates to the incidents mentioned above, but part of an overall
issue. The hackerspaces I hear about do not operate in this manner.

Regarding the old kit, Kenny and I have a plan and just need to
discuss some ideas a little more before making an announcement.

Rob,

I last visited the space 3 weeks before the incident, I have very
little spare time. They key has been signed out many times within this
period, by different people hosting members and non members, technical
and non technical folk. A video camera opens up another can of worms I
don't have time to get into right now. While it's true that somebody
must know, it's fairly likely that the only person who does know who
is responsible for these (possibly unrelated) actions.

There are general issues with the use of the space which are a growing
concern, I'm afraid that will have to wait for another discussion in
the not too distant future.

Thanks

Martin
