Hi all,

This is not great news. It should be second nature to lock the door
when leaving.

Another issue is that the keys should not be handed between
people/groups. The CCA have had some issues regarding security in the
recent past.

Anyone on the members list can sign out the keys. CCA reception should
ask for ID.
Sign keys out at reception and hand them back in after you are
finished using the space, don't hand them to other people.
It's not a big deal to expect people to sign out the keys if they want
to use the space.

Why do we do this?

Firstly this is what has been agreed with the CCA duty managers, for
various reasons, including:

How does the key holder know that the person wanting the keys is on
the members list held at reception?

The CCA then have no record of who has the keys and is therefore has
responsibility for the space.

This is important for various reasons. When anyone reports an issue,
asks a question or raises a complaint we need to be able to find out
who was using the space.

I've updated a few parts of the website to make this clearer.
Let me know if you have any questions on this issue.

Thanks

Martin
