So.... Some stuff is successful, some stuff not so much.

The r128 video driver detects the card correctly, but something borks the
display before anything sensible is displayed. I'm presuming forcing it to
specific video modes through xorg.conf is the arcane technomantic trick that
will have it risen from the bricked quickest. Suspicous of the Hitachi
CML170SXW monitor. It might be encouraging the card to overstretch its
limits. 

Anyhoo, I've installed n2n, and my ssh key so I can get in to hack and add
other users remotely. I have a shell script for starting n2n from the debian
install if anyone wants to muck in. 

If anyone wants a shell account or has suggestions on how to handle the
hardware issues, please speak up.
