I think I recall Gair Dunlop speaking or writing about (what must have
been a very early childhood experience) watching such queues, or if it
was not him directly then his family was in Pollokshields at this time
- not sure if Gair is currently subscribed to this list or open lab
but Simon or Ben D might know the best way to reach him
