From Electron Club, Glasgow
These are pages for some of the projects going on at the Electron Club.
Anyone can start up a project, just send an email to the members list and find out who else is interested in what you would like to do.
Once you have started up a new project, please add some info about it here. If your project is going to need a lot of shared collaboration then it can be administered via the shared project manager. Ask other members at the club for details.

Code Knitters
Please note: CodeKnitters is now Cryogenics - i.e. activities are on ice.
WAS: 2nd and 4th Tuesday in each month, 6:00pm.
Open programming workshop, looking at different programming languages, but initially PHP, as it is well documented and fairly accessable for beginners, as well being useful for web design and hosting your own websites.
Electronic Knitters
Monthly, 6:00pm.
Electronics free for all (within reason). We're a group interested in exploring and playing around with circuits, microprocessors, electric motors, sensors, etc. All experience levels and interests are welcome. Come along and make something that beeps, twitches, lights up, or makes coffee.
Glasgow Green Map
Thursday night every week, 6:30pm - 8:30pm - tea and cakes provided.
Green Maps are locally created maps that chart social/cultural and environmental assets within communities using the Green Map Icon System. There are over 300 Green Mapping Projects in production around the world encouraging people to engage with the concept of sustainable development within their own community. Radius Glasgow and members of the Electron Club are working in collaboration to develop Glasgow's first web based Google Mash up Green Map based on the Cork Green Map http://www.corkgreenmap.org/map/.
We are running weekly workshops at the Electron Club designed to involve people in the project. We encourage anyone who wants to find out more about the initiative, learn new skills and contribute some time to the development of this Glasgow resource to come along.
