looking for an old, but working PCI or PCI-E VGA card

Hello All,

I am looking to recycle some of the old PC components into a backblaze-style storage server. A friend gave me an Athlon64 main board. 

However,

It turned out that the old GTX8600 that I had from time immemorial, won't start. The said rig works just fine with a GPU from my other PC, so I am sure it is the GPU.

One can get a new GT710 for 30gbp from Amazon, but I thought, instead of purchasing new plastic, possibly someone has a GPU I could upcycle?

Any spare, 5-year old GPUs lying around?
