Sorry, a few moments ago my twins jumped on the laptop, resulting in a
partially crafted email being sent...

Thanks to Kenny we have a new router in the room. The previous one had
become unstable, dropping connections and disallowing others totally.

Some interesting questions were raised, and on the subject of asking
questions if anyone has a question, technical or otherwise, the
mailing list is the best place to ask, but I'm told the irc channel is
increasing in activity. I'll make a conscious effort to hang out there
more often, most likely during working hours.

The channel is #electronclub on the freenode network. If this makes no
sense to you an explanation can be found here:

http://electronclub.org/doku.php?id=howto:irc

Along with a link to a web based client.

When starting a discussion on the mailing list simply send an email to
members at electronclub.org with an appropriate subject line. If you
reply to an existing message, changing the subject line will cause
indexing problems for people who receive the "digest" mail, rather
than one email per message.

Regarding the mailing list, the upcoming new release of the mailman
software provides a forum like interface, while maintaining existing
functionality, among many other changes. For more information on these
upcoming changes (it's still in beta) check the following URL:

http://lwn.net/Articles/638090/

We'll evaluate the software when it's released.

On the subject of software, Andrew Back as a written a nice article
regarding software defined radio on the Raspberry Pi 2:

And the associated discussion over at hacker news:

Worth checking out.

As always, if anyone has any questions please let me know.

Thanks

Martin
