Welcome new member Jerzy Dziewierz
"Hi there,
My name is Jurek (yes, that's an informal version of Jerzy).
I am a bit of a polymath. I can do software engineering (FPGAs, C to
Csharp, Matlab&Labview, CUDA), electronics (from concept to
fabrication, digital&analogue, from microcontrolers to high power),
mechanics (from concept to fabrication, plastics and metals; can do
advanced CAD and FEM), a bit of chemistry, and some non-trivial maths
and physics. I am interested in A.I. and horseback riding. I have
experience in RC flying - I have a custom built 450 class quadcopter
with short range FPV. To summarize - I am a bit of a crazy scientist.
I always have more awesome ideas than time on my hands to implement
them. for a living, I am currently finishing up my PhD in ultrasonic
sensors.
My recent ideas circulate around getting a subtractive fabrication
capability (that is, a desktop CNC) that would cost me less than
gazillion pounds per minute to run; through it, I want to enable some
cool electro-mechanical projects.
Life is a learning experience. I am always happy to share my knowledge
with others and always looking to learn something from others.
I guess, the GOSH group or the WoSARS people are the ones I would like
to talk first to find out what the common interest might be."
Martin
