[ELECTRON] Ubunto along side windows arggh

Hi Paul,
           thanks for your response. It appears that some of the equipment we have at the Mitchell doesn't work with Ubuntu, hence Windows. I'm not Techy enough to know what Windoes via VM means.    John.

Hi Bob,

I've had similar issues myself with Windows 8 and UEFI.

I managed to get dual boot running, but only on Ubuntu itself, not any fork
of it.

The Ubuntu installer doesn't give the option to directly install alongside
Windows 8 automatically in most cases, so you'll need someone that's
comfortable partitioning the drive for swap, boot ect.

If you don't get anyone soon, let me know and I'll see what I can do.
