Don't feel obligated to turn up, with or without food. If you can't make it
or don't feel like coming for whatever reason don't worry about it. As it
was your idea I think it'd be nice if you did. I'll definitely be there
anyway. If people turn up that's great, if not no great loss, there are
other things I can be working on.

The previous meet and greet saw around a dozen people turn up, some via
word or mouth or being forwarded the announcement email, very few actually
replied on list. Keep in mind that non members can't reply to mailing list
posts.

This hasn't been added to the events section of the homepage, perhaps had
this been the case more people would know about it. The feedback received
via the "contact us" form frequently questions events listings on the
homepage.
