Firstly apologies for these new members taking a while to get added to the
list. My boys arrived prematurely and I've spent most of the last 3 weeks
in hospital with them. They're out of the neonatal ICU and should be home
in a few weeks.

Thank you for your patience. The new members are:

Graeme West:

"Interested in re-learning electronics after many years of neglecting my
box of resistors and soldering iron, and spending far too many years
building virtual instead of real things.

I'm also involved in starting the Glasgow chapter of Open Rights Group, and
am keen to build links between Electron Club and ORG Glasgow."

and Lisha Sterling:

"I'm interested in Scotlug, hacking open source software, especially for
humanitarian project but not just, building wiggly eeg-controlled animal
ears like necomimi only with microphones built in, other random hackerythings."

By the sounds of it the Open Source Hardware Group would be of interest.
See their future events along with others via the Calendar:

A word on bookings. If you are going to be using the space, even if it's
during office hours please book the room in the calendar. There's a neat
'How to' guide here:

http://www.electronclub.org/doku.php?id=howto:calendar

It's important to book the room so that others know when it's going to be
available. Most meetings are public, but in the rare occasions people need
to use the room exclusively it's important to know when other people plan
on using the space.

It's also beneficial to us as a group, and more to the point the CCA to
know a single point of contact for bookings, should they need to contact
someone at short notice.

The website is a dokuwiki site, adding a listing of events/meetings to the
front page has resulted in non members attending events they wouldn't have
known about otherwise. This is fairly easy to do, but I plan on making some
changes to the infrastructure in the near future to make it even simpler
and introduce a WYSIWYG interface for editing.

Thanks

Martin
