Hello fellow Electron Clubbers,

A quick email to share the Digispark Kickstarter with you and see if anyone
is interested in buying one without doubling the cost in postage. What is a
Digispark? Check the Kickstarter for more details (in essence it is a 1
inch x 1 inch Arduino (Attiny85 with a custom Arduino bootloader) board
with 5 I/O connections and a USB connection):

With 6 days to go for the Digispark Kickstarter it has managed to raise
over $234,000 of it's $5,000 target, showing that there is a lot of love
for this clever little Arduino. I've backed the Kickstarter and intend to
receive 12 of the cute little circuits with the hope of sharing the cost of
the delivery ($10 plus any import tax/customs) and bring the cost of the
individual Digisparks down a little too ($12 for one or $100 for twelve,
about £5.30!). If anyone here is interested drop me an email and I'll
reserve you one of the eleven spare Digisparks (if there is enough interest
I can up my backing to receive more). This will be on a first come first
serve basis and I'll likely need to set a time limit so we can get the
order in before the Kickstarter ends, lets say Midnight Thursday 6th
September. There is a range of 'shields' available (see link below), if you
are interested in any of these let me know and I'll add them to the order.

I'd like to hand these out at a GOSHG/Electron Club meet-up instead of
posting them out to folks and perhaps we could spend an evening
experimenting with them as a group. More details on this would be decided
closer to expected delivery date or once I've received the delivery.

So what do you need to do? If you want a Digispark let me know (drop me an
email, address is in my signature) and I'll add your name to the list.
Visit the shields page to see if anything there tickles your fancy and let
me know if you want to order any of them. We'll meet up at the Electron
Club on a Thursday evening (I'll probably pop down a few other nights if
necessary to suit folks schedules) and exchange the Digispark/shields for
cold hard cash. If you can hang about then we'll build up the shield kits
together and try out some code.

Regards,

Mark Craig

P.S. Just to be clear, I'm only looking to spread the cost of the
delivery/customs and share the savings from buying more than one. I do not
intend to make any profit on this.
