I agree. These are serious accusations and if true, should have been brought up then - for the sake of the club as well as your piece of mind. Anyway,these accusations worth checking out further, so I have. I keep all mail from the electron club - I'm a hoarder. I've also been active in this club for many years and feel a degree of responsibility making sure it runs ok. 

The Archive:
You sent out an email to the Electron club mailing list about Oxjam. This was on 27th August 2009. There were two replies on list: One from Hannah Clinch and one from Nina Baker. Hannah offers a space for Oxjam, and Nina suggests one. In the public list, then, there are no hostile replies. If anything, people are encouraging and trying to help, as I'd hope with something like something as worthy as Oxjam. 

I myself have also made 'off subject' requests and generally found people positive and helpful. I know there are disagreements here, when subjects get too 'political' for some, but generally, although the temperature rises, everyone participates with a degree of politeness and keeps generally to netiquette (though sarkiness is there!). Compared to real 'flame wars' it's really rather tame. 

Further from the Archive:
However, looking further down the email history, there wasn't a flame war of any sort on the list. Further, you were still part of it and an active participant. Again, emails were cordial and friendly. That's the evidence of the archive. In fact you were very kind to offer me help when I asked for help not at all related to the electron club. 

I'm sorry - I don't understand this. I'm saddened by all this.
