Cool suggesions, Brass wool style wipers are my preference as well.

Keep the list suggestions coming, I would suggest that once we have a 
good list built up, we can have a quick pro/con list for each.  After 
that if enough people are interested, we can perhaps use nominal voting 
to prioritise.

If there is particular equipment that you know is good (Like the RIGOL 
DSO or the Roland iModela) then please feel free to supply model numbers 
and suppliers.  I have always bought the cheap or second hand stuff, so 
I am not especially knowledgaeable on what brands and models offer best 
functionor dureability.
