Yes, I think we should change the subject immediately.

So...   Has anyone any suggestions regarding the most suitable washing
powder for heavily soiled pillows?  Would it be a good idea to soak
them overnight in Bio-tex for instance?

I put one in my washing machine earlier with a good squirt of Fairy
washing up liquid and it appears to have foamed all over my kitchen
floor.
