Well as a woman who often find tech groups intimidating.  I found the message funny.  What I find offensive are people who tell me what I should find offensive.

It is important the Electron Club is a safe and welcoming space for
everyone - women and girls still participate less in technology than men
and boys do and, amongst other things, EC should be contributing to
attracting them into technology.  There are links between porn and
(sexual) violence against women and the levels of violence against women
are shockingly high.  So no, the so-called 'joke' is not funny.
