Citations are kind of besides the point.

The point being, there are people who subscribe to this list that might find references (even in jest) to porn and the associated objectification of women offensive or at the very least, a bit off-putting.

This seems like it could be a reasonable response to the original joke.  Others might find it funny -- also reasonable.

This list is not an appropriate forum for jokes about sex, porn or anything else related to the subject.  The inappropriateness of the joke is due to the context of where it was delivered. (There very well may be kids on this list too) So I'd suggest that if you wouldn't be comfortable making the joke to 10 year old girl, you shouldn't be making it on this list.

Save it for when you're in a room with other people who share your sensibilities on the matter.

It's just a matter of basic respect for fellow EC members.
