I can't use mailing lists properly... hate this things with a passion!  
How do I reply into the thread?

In terms of your suggested structure... I agree that it would be good to 
start off with something structured and your suggestion looks friendly 
to those who have just started using arduino

    - What is an arduino
       - The Hardware
       - The Development environment
    - Show and tell (Run what you bring?)

I can certainly put something together for this, although there may (almost certainly) be someone with better knowledge than I out there who would do a better job than me!
