It seems like it's a mixed bag of responses.

I'm now wondering if introducing forums into the mix would complicate 
matters without making the club significantly more usable.

If the main concern is giving people a clearer picture of what the 
electron club is all about, wouldn't each group keeping an up-to-date 
page on the wiki help ?

Is the lack of forums keeping anyone away ?

It's my long-winded way of saying "Would it be worth the effort?"
