This sounds like an excuse for an EC social.

People have good intentions. I remember at the Fablab discussion Roy gave a
couple of years back during one of the open days, the following conversation
tangents wildly when someone said they had access to lots of old computers
(being gradually disposed of by a college IIRC), and that we should be
fixing them up to give to people. Simon pointed out that there was already a
room full of computers piled up that nobody wants, for various reasons.

I'd be happy to lend a hand cataloguing what is in the room, and suggesting
what could be dumped. Given the nature of the communal space the question of
ownership may be a problem. Perhaps it would be worth while if anyone has
items the specifically wish to be kept, they get marked in some way (like a
PAT(est) sticker or something similar). We could then make the inventory
available along with our suggestions of what should go, people could then
either state that an item should be kept or could clam it and take it away.

Cheers

Martin
