Have you been following what Bruce has been doing with the maklab project? 

He has secured a space at the lighthouse for a lab, and some funding. I am sure that he would love some more funding.

This looks *prime* for applications to kit out a fab lab. I reckon a joint
application from the EC and CCA would stand an excellent chance...

However, this would need someone to take a lead, and quite possibly a fair
bit of work. I'd be happy to assist if someone steps up (I'm helping with a
similar effort in Yorkshire just now and am collecting supporting material).
