Wear old clothes.

Warm it up (I sit a jug of the solution in a plastic bowl of hot water)

Use a shallow tray

Agitate the solution by tilting the tray.

Or...

I have seen online people using a soft sponge soaked in the solution to 
rub away the copper.  Its meant to be fast, but I have not tried it myself.

I don't think its different otherwise.
