So i'm now starting to talk with people about putting on an event here in
Edinburgh next early Spring called "FOSS4GG", where the extra G stands for
Government (and the rest ostensibly stands for Free and Open Source Software
for Geography).

I'd like to see open data and microlocal strands in this too.
Need to figure out which mailing list to use (ok-scotland at lists.okfn.org or
scotland at lists.osgeo.org), pick a date and book the free space in
Informatics/Inspace sooner rather than later.

Very early in the FOSS4GG conversation, but thought i should offer a
heads-up now. It would be great to move this other, ongoing conversation to
somewhere archived.
