Hi, we need your help! Join the OpenStreetMap volunteers as we create a free map of Glasgow and the world...

Currently, over 90% of Glasgow streets have been mapped and thousands of points of interests have been collected. Help us create the best, most detailed map of Glasgow ever created for free public use - lets make Glasgow the most digitally mapped city in the world. OpenStreetMap is a free, open source map that can be contributed, edited and used by anyone anywhere. This mapping party is a social gathering where experienced and new mappers can meet to share and learn more about the project. This event will be held at the Electron Club room at the CCA, Glasgow on Saturday 6 November 2010 at 11:00. There will be plenty of time for discussion, mapping and editing. The event is open to all.

11:00 Meet at the Electron Club - greetings and introductions
11:30 Survey the local streets around the CCA for points of interest
13:00 Lunch
13:30 Introduction to editing
14:00 Editing and updating the map
16:00 Finish - go to bar to celebrate!

If you own a GPS or laptop computer, please bring it along. If not, we will have GPS units to loan.

You can RSVP here: upcoming

This event is rain or shine.

Cheers,

Tim
