INFORMATION ABOUT THE 10th SEPTEMBER



WHAT IS THE 10th SEPTEMBER EVENT ?



Facilitated by Gerry Hassan, supported by Fablevision and featuring a team
of storytellers and animateurs, the event is aimed at everybody who works
here in Govan. It will take place in Orkney Street Business Centre between
10am and 4.30Pm on Friday, 10th September 2010.





1. What is the 10th September event about?

The September 1oth event is part of A Govan Wave of Change - which itself us
part of the wider A Scottish Wave of Change. The Govan programme is bringing
together people from across the area - to look at how we imagine, envisage
and make happen a better future for Govan. This event brings together a
cross-section of public sector senior leaders.


2. Who is facilitating?

The event will be opened by Liz Gardiner of A Govan Wave of Change and Gerry
Hassan of A Scottish Wave of Change - who previously led the Demos futures
projects Scotland 2020 and Glasgow 2020. The event will be faciltated by
Wendy Woolfson, an experienced facilitator and storyteller.

3. What the format will be and what attendees should expect?

The event will explore the values people have, their views of the past,
present and future of Govan and Scotland, and the values they would like to
see enshrined in the future of Govan and Scotland.


4. What we hope to achieve from the event?

The event will be one amongst many in Govan and Scotland. It will contribute
towards the development of A Govan Wave of Change - which will bring
together insights and thinking about the future of the area, along with a
wider Scottish vision, in turn, contributing to A Scottish Wave of Change.

5. What we anticipate the outcomes will be?

This one event will be an enjoyable and interactive event - which
contributes to wider conversations and discussions about the future of Govan
and Scotland. A Scottish Wave of Change is working at a senior level with
the Scottish Government, civil servants, and the Scottish Parliament, and
they have agreed to contribute at points in the project, and listen and
learn from any conclusions.
