[ELECTRON] making use of public spaces in Scotlad

Question for Si, and others

Here in Edinburgh people have been hoping to get a similar space to the
Electron Club, or hackerspace

The opportunities coming up seem to be geared toward charging membership
fees for cost

Which is okay, but non optimal economics

I am interested in models which make use of underused resources (ie, a room
which is empty in some organisation whose electricity bill is so big
anyway that having a ouple of computers running wont make no difference at
all, so happy to donate space plus use of electricity)

Can someone provide some background as to what kind of deal does the
Electron Club enter into with CCA, and any suggestions of where to look
for something similar in Edinburgh?

The Electron Club seems to me like a great model to learn from
