[ELECTRON] Proposals for the AnarchoTV "Black Box"

Hi everyone,

I'm not sure if I'm jumping the gun on this one or not but, even though the
AnarchoTV website ( www.anarchotv.net ) isn't as up to scratch as I'd like
it to be, I am wanting to start putting the word out there about the next
step on for the AnarchoTV project.

The idea is to put together a piece of hardware, with appropriate software
installed, that can connect to the internet and plug into to the back of
people's television sets. Basically mimicking a freeview television box,
cable television box etc.

The software would run a bunch of live internet streams that could be
flicked through much like watching television normally, possibly even using
a remote control device, as well as show "on demand" content.

All software would be open source and all hardware circuits (despite the
project name) would be made available

I havn't done much research into this yet but am thinking about using a
beagleboard as the basis for trying to put a first incarnation together and
would have started by now if it weren't for my own financial constraints
(having already thrown quite a bit of money at the anarchotv project
already),

Any help and suggestions welcome,

Would like to meet up at the electron club with anyone else who is
interested in the project,

Thanks,
Ben
