Hi,

a few things ...

Some of you may know already that Glasgow Science Festival is on, runs
until 18th June. There are workshops on bird song indentification, beer
making, cheese making, morse code and more. They are doing a 'family fun
day' event on June 14th, the day after our Open Day. I am wondering
whether we should try and hook up with them in some way? Anyone know
people who are involved in it already?

For more info see:

Music for the Open Day ....

Roy's band 'Inspector Tapehead' have offered to play at the Open Day,
you can hear them here:

Those of you who are fans of magnetized ferric oxides may be interested
in their audiotape instrument that they'll be performing with:

Also Magnus' brother Fergus (from 'Discrete Charm of the Bourgeoisie')
has offered to do a performance of Alvin Lucier's "Music on a Long Thin
Wire", a treat for all of those of you who are fans of oscillating sine
waves and harmonic frequencies:

Lastly, a reminder that there will be a meeting for planning the Open
Day tomorrow night (Monday 13th) at 7pm in the Electron Club. I think
we'll be discussing more the practicalities of putting it all together.
Anyone who wants to help out is welcome to join us.

best wishes
Si
