Hi,

I hope this is the correct email address and if you accept these types
of emails. Has anyone ever had the GRUB error 17 problem? I have a
presario R3000 with a number of partitions, XP, Ubuntu, Dreamlinux and
Vector Linux. Ubuntu is the one I use all the time. I recently removed
Mepis from a partition and increased the Ubuntu partition size. When I
boot into GRUB I get the error 17 message. The problem is that I do
not have a working cd-rom drive so I cannot use the live cd. I would
like to get past error 17 to the GRUB prompt and see if I can fix the
problem. Any suggestion would be great. Thanks.
