The record store Monorail regularly screen interesting music documentaries
and films etc at the GFT under the title "Monorail Film Club". A season of
"Electron Film" would be very cool, e.g.:

- Classic future-predicting & way off the mark sci-fi
- Science, electronics and computing documentaries and archive footage
- Camcorder footage of exciting electronical activities across the globe
(e.g. 3rd world wifi and computing, hack labs and ham radio DX-peditions)
- Promotional films for computers from the 50s, 60s and 70s etc, e.g. from
IBM and ICL etc (cute portrayals of the blinkenlights of yesteryear).
- Classic BBC programming, e.g. Tomorrow's World and Take Nobody's Word for
  It.

If well programmed it could serve to be inspirational, as well as a geek
fest and possible historical curio. TV these days lacks programs that
inspire people to go into science and engineering etc - far too much reality
TV and stuff of a similar ilk, which has a similar effect on the brain as
CJD.

Cheers,

Andrew
